I think its an individual thing. Yes, 50 isn't as "old" as it used to be, but that doesn't mean that 30 isn't an adult. I don't really think you ever stop maturing and growing and learning, but some people feel like they're an adult and have their shit together at 18, some 30, some it takes longer.

I was going to say exactly this.

Also, I've never really thought of myself as being a certain age in anything but, I don't know, a chronological posterity sort of way. I mean, I'm 25, but beyond the arbitrary, WTF is that supposed to even mean? I'm just my same old self, doing cool things and farting around and shit. I'll continue being that person next year when I'm 26, and in 45 years when I'm 70, at which point I'll probably still be learning and changing to at least some degree. Unless I get doored on my bike and crack my head open tomorrow, in which case, I had a good run. :P
