The Simpsons game is rather awesome. It's a freemium game, but it's written by the writers of the show. You level up your Springfield town, unlock characters who you can send on "quests", and it's kind just really cute. There's tons of 4th wall breaking, and it makes fun of itself very often. Right now there's a Xmas event too.

Glu makes and publishes a lot of games, from fps, puzzle, point-and-click adventure, and others. They are also freemiums of course, but I don't think I've been hard-pressed or tempted to buy things to enjoy their games.
