The Merlin miniseries with Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, and Helena Bonham Carter. If you haven't seen it, it is totally worth a watch.

The one from the nineties. It had a lot of famous actors like Rutger Hauer, James Earl Jones, Sam Neill, and so on. Pictured is Helena Bonham Carter who played Morgan Le Fey, if memory serves me right.

Secret 4 - Merlin (1998 TV miniseries)

This is the most touching love story I've ever seen.

Both Frik and Morgan le Fay were made beautiful through magic by the fairy Queen Mab, and fell in love with each other. When Mab mortally wounds le Fay for rebelling, they both revert to their original, uglier forms, but they still call each other beautiful.

It's been a long time since I've seen that miniseries and I remember very little of it other than that I generally enjoyed it, but this scene and that "beyond words" has always stuck with me.

Merlin mini-series secret, yay! Even though I have a feeling it was not all that good, this thing was pretty damn influential for me when it came out.

I watched it again a couple of years ago and I think it mostly holds up. They did a follow up that basically had nothing to do with Merlin that was awful and must be avoided at all costs, however.

Noooo, that part always used to make me cry! It's one of the only things I can bear HBC in as well.
