People legit ship Adam/Michael, really? Why not Michael/Dean, since he was Dean was Michael's true vessel. I think any pairing with Adam in it is creepy, tbh, because the Adam we knew was a ghoul who fucking ate the real Adam.

I like Lucifer/Sam, mostly because I'm interested in Lucifer's relationship with Sam (and I really like Lucifer).

The idea behind Micheal/Adam is normally Adam making Micheal rediscover true love in humanity and so on and so forth.

Adam seems like he'd pretty full of hate, tbh. For angels, for humans, and for anything supernatural.

I like Sam/Lucifer as a creepy, non-con, really fucked up ship revolving around Lucifer's obsessions and the fact that he may have raped Sam in the pit the way I'm convinced Alistair did to Dean. But Sam returning feelings or it being romantic? Hell no.

And I don't get Adam/Michael at all. Lucifer hates humans, so he'd be all about causing pain. Michael just doesn't care. So I can't see anything of that nature going on. Or anything else. Humans are below him in his mind. He believes in protecting humanity in general as part of doing his job and obeying his father, but an individual human is completely beneath his notice. And there is no way in hell that Adam would ever feel romantic towards him.

Fandom is beginning to make me hate Adam. I never really cared about him before, but the obsession with his character and the relentless demands that he be freed is starting to drive me nuts. I just want to go and yell HE'S DEAD. HE STARTED OFF DEAD. HE WAS IN FIVE DAMN EPISODES AND HAS NO PERSONALITY, GET THE FUCK OVER IT

...I'm going to go and calm down now.

Same here. I don't get that at all.

Well, it does suck that he's presumably stuck in a hell-cage with two angry archangels for all eternity, so I can see why people want to change that.

I don't give a shit about Adam himself, but spn has always been about family and the fact that sam and dean have done nothing to get their brother back strikes me as against their character. Adam was a plot device of all plot devices, but fucking hell. He deserves to be out of the pit.

I don't think it's so much about Adam himself but as a sort of catch-all representative thing (I'm sure there's an actual word for it) to how many ridiculous plot holes and dropped storylines the show has. I didn't like him that much but every time I see Dean yakking on about the importance of family and all the lengths he goes to for them I roll my eyes a bit. The show doesn't actually even need to bring him back (the actor's busy anyway I think) but they've not so much as mentioned him, which is really strange.

The actor of Adam went on to have a role in "Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief", so he's probably too high a pay rate for SPN.

yeah that's what i mean. though he's done cons and said he'd love to come back, i think it might be more scheduling and lack of feasible place to fit him in.

Secret 4 - Supernatural (TV series)

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-12-21 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Adam Milligan, the half-brother of Sam and Dean Winchester, from the TV series "Supernatural". He is played by Jake Abel. He has light skin and short dark blond hair. He is wearing a grayish brown jacket and standing somewhere next to a forest-type of place.]

I think that (a) Winchester/Angel pairings are way too common, and (b) Adam/Michael is the worst of the defaults.

I can see the (cracky) rationale for writing Sam/Gabriel. I think romantic Sam/Lucifer is fucking creepy, but at least it can build on Lucifer being obsessed with Sam.

Adam was manipulated and bullied into consenting to Michael, who only took him when he couldn't get the one he really wanted and couldn't even be bothered to talk to him beforehand.

If you do the work, you can argue that they did a lot of bonding in the Cage, but why would you ever pair them off in an Alternate Universe? If you insist Adam needs an angel, there are lots of spares!
