(Anonymous) 2013-12-21 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)In this case I'm judging the casting of these movies for having decided that apparently almost all elves must be BLOND and with CLEAR EYES but the actors behind them are super DARK. I don't see why we can't have simply the natural coloring of the actors.
In fact, tbh, what bothers me more than anything is the use of those idiotic lenses. They make everyone look weird and not in a good way, because there is still not a way to change eye coloring without making it seems plastic-y. So yeah, to me it's a matter of realistic looks over otherworldly unnaturally achieved looks.
