Hmm, we just might see him differently. You're perfectly right that he might very well just go "So?" when he's told that humans were titans, but I bet that the series will very much punish him for that. He also might really upset about it, because he's face so much fear and hate for being a titan shifter that it might have taught him some empathy.

And while I have no explaination as to how he murdered those slavers without regret, Eren isn't 'stark raving mad'. He's extremely traumatised, orphaned, angry kid in a society with absolutely no therapy. Honestly I find it refreshing, because a kid that's been through what he has WOULD be more like Eren than most generic shounen protagonists.

He saved Mikasa's life by killing those slave traders, why would that be something to regret?

Nobody's calling Mikasa a psychopath because she killed one of the guys too.
