(I know it's late so it's likely you won't see this, but...)

If your name is really common you could use your name or initials plus a basic word, like your major or profession or hobby or whatever. Like BSmithLumberjack@ or JaneGreenKnits@. I have a few relatives who've had to do that, due to having exceptionally common names. It's simple, easy to say and type out, and it means you have a 'professional' sounding email without having to stick a string of numbers in there.
