So apparently I need to read Melinda Lo's Ash.

I had a similar reaction to a book I read written by a friend of mine. I'm hesitant to recommend it since she is a friend so it might not mean much, but if you're curious I can tell you. It's got a very fairy tale-like feel to it and it's adorable and it was so amazing reading about a girl happily in love with another girl.

All right, the book is The Second Mango by Shira Glassman. She has a Wordpress blog and a tumblr, both under the name shiraglassman. It's got a lesbian main character who strikes up a strong friendship with a rather masculine straight woman and a dragon, and there's both f/f and m/f relationships and the sequel is going to have m/m. I'm not sure how much I should give away about the plot so you should just look at the official summary or something.

This book made me so happy. :D
