I think people who have a problem with caps for emphasis are way too uptight.

I don't know...it isn't something that I've ever noticed, but we already have multiple things that are used for emphasis and capitals are not meant to be used as one of them.

well it just SHOWS a certain kind of ATTITUDE, when employed in a certain way. These lines will guarantee to sound much more OBNOXIOUS with this empathis. However I see that you have NO PROBLEM sounding not like a voice of reason even without that EXCUSE given your exaggeration.

People have been using capitals for emphasis forever. If you don't like it, it's fine, but it is not unusual.

I love how no one actually bothered to read the comment. If you've never noticed something it obviously doesn't bother you, and you have no feelings about it.

Except that wasn't the entire content of the comment. You went on to say that capitals are not meant to be used for emphasis. Also, you made another comment with the intent to demonstrate why using capitals for emphasis leads to poor results. Given that, and given the fact that you came back, hours later, to tell everyone how not bothered you are, I think it's pretty safe to say that you actually do have some feelings about it.

On another note, someone absolutely can be bothered by something that, until the present moment, they had never noticed before. They couldn't have been bothered prior to noticing it, of course, but on that first occasion of noticing, yeah -- it can annoy them, and they can develop an opinion on it.
