Hey OP. I just wanted to let you know that you sound like a nice person with good intentions. I understand that, from the outside, it seemed like everything that you thought it would happen ended up happening, and you're left wondering if not doing anything about it makes you guilty as well; but it's not fair to beat yourself up for this - as other people said before, your concerns would have probably been dismissed in one way or another. You're not their mom, after all; it wouldn't have been up to you regardless. And even if you were, sometimes you just can't stop this sort of stuff, and it's in no way your fault. In the end, no fandom is worth your mental sanity. If something, you did the right thing to get out of there before it could affect you too. You can't save everyone, sometimes things will destroy themselves in front of you and there will be absolutely nothing you could have done. But it's sweet that you wanted to help out.
