I appreciated Rue as a character and felt more sympathy for her death than for those of the Careers, but I agree that the Careers are more interesting (I especially like the extra lines that Cato was given in the end of the movie that showed that he wasn't the ruthless psychopath that he came off as in the book) even if they aren't as likable.
