*twiddles thumbs at work*

I like working christmas. :D I get paid more, a free meal and the customers are way nicer than usual!

Also, airconditioning. THANK YOU AIRCON.

What trivial things are you thankful for?

The fact that the cat I am babysitting came back. Now I won't have to tell my boss/cousin their cat was lost/dead in an ice storm.

We let him out Saturday morning (apparently he doesn't use a litterbox) he jumped the fence and was missing for 2 days. D:

He is sleeping on my bed now because our cats hate him too much for him to wander about.

oh god the 8 Polish Foods of Christmas. that takes me back!

I still occasionally have reason to reference the line "it's pretty much just meat" and nobody around me gets it.

I'm thankful that instead of working the register during the busiest day of the year, I sat in a room and did online training for my new position.

Oyster crackers and not throwing up. Though, only being able to eat crackers and drink watery 7-Up for the last three days before Christmas sucks. Don't know where this nausea came from but it's the worst.

The oyster crackers make the nausea better? Are they flavoured crackers or are you actually eating oysters on crackers?

Hope you feel better soon :(

They don't taste like anything but saltines. They are small and round like an oyster, this the name. I like them because they are small and less crumby.

Me too. Thanks.

....Uhhhhhhhh. I'm thankful for The Walking Dead Game? Yes, I'm thankful for that. (It's one of my Christmas presents.)

Also thankful that my nose isn't burning like a motherfucker right now. (Damn you allergies!)

Heh, I've never worked anywhere that was open Christmas. But when I was with the USPS, I always volunteered for holidays for the time-and-a-half. Also convenient excuse to skip out on tedious/frustrating family gatherings. I really wish I was working Christmas this year myself, because I actually love my job... far more enjoyable than dealing with my relatives.

Trivial things I'm thankful for right now? Warm heated waterbed, hot baths with scented bath salts and eggnog-scented body wash, Ghiradelli dark chocolate and raspberry squares, tamagoyaki that came out pretty well this time (even if the layers kind of didn't hold together, it looks way better than my first attempt, and tastes better too).

It's past 2am here so technically it's already Christmas, so happy Christmas! I'm glad that I have my family around for the holidays, and heating because it's cold outside.

The snow from last Friday (which officially melted completely away yesterday), and that people are a little more smiley than other days.

I wish I was working on Christmas, but the store's closed. Probably so they won't have to pay anyone holiday wages. But it means I get the day before Boxing Day off. (Think Black Friday for the rest of the British (former)Empire.)
