I've always thought the British version of the Office was a lot funnier than the American version--and I'm American.

On the other hand the American Shameless is better than the original British one...

at least I think so, I have a friend who refuses to watch the American one because she has seen badly done American remakes before. I get her, don't get me started on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

I haven't finished Shameless, but I tried the UK version and I vastly prefer the American one.

I think Ricky Gervais is funny, but jeeze the British Office was so boring to me. I caught some episodes on Adult Swim a few years ago and could not stomach more than three. It was just...not my taste. Where the American Office was more my style of humor.
