Letsee family traditions.

We open gifts on christmas eve, christmas day we have christmas lunch with granparents then christmas dinner for friends/family at ours.

There's a tree.

Uh, some of the family goes to church.

food is things like cold ham, cold turkey, salads, bbq, pasta salad/potato salad

Might go to the beach.

...the traditions are not strong in me >_>;; I normally work too, this will probably be my last christmas shift though. I'm looking forward to making my own traditions!

Going to the beach on Christmas sounds fun! Darn you, Southern Hemisphere-ers... How do they make potato salad in Australia? With mustard? I like mine with mustard.

Normally it's just potatos, eggs, salad mayo, herbs that I feel like on the day, bacon, shallots or onion. Normally I buy it, I've only made it from scratch a couple of times XD

Yes it's good! I don't have a recipe, but it's usually got mustard, green olives, a teensy bit of mayo, and celery. Besides potatoes, of course.

The beach? Damn you! We have ice, all around us it is slippery and just a danger to everything!

One does not need to have manny traditions tho, your Christmas seems nice!

I look forward to making traditions one day! I'll probably continue doing the present and family thing the days leading up to christmas because I live in a different state from the folks, then settle for a quiet day in with the pets. Maybe go to any friend events in the evening for some drinks.

The beach isn't as often as I'd like. Everyone goes and does serious family events and food in their houses. It's 40+ degrees, lets go to the beach!


Lurking on FS seems to be becoming a tradition, but don't think I've been doing anything notable.

oh woops that anon was me, I'm leaving work now and forgot I'd logged out.

I think ice and snow sounds kinda fun, I'd hope to have a white christmas one day. Maybe I'll be able to afford to go somewhere snowy for christmas in the future.
