My mother's side of the family is from the south of Chile (very rural, agricultural place, and they lived REALLY ISOLATED). My granpa always jokes they had a saying that in Spanish rhymes and I don't know how the ffff to translate properly:

"A quien la prima se le arrima, si es prima hermana, con más ganas"
"Who gets cozy with their cousin, if it's a first cousin, more the reason."

And also used to say "well, we lived 5 hours by ox cart away from everyone else on a farm :/ cousins were for practice!"

We always recieve these jokes with a suitable mix of horror and laughter.

Sounds like the first one is kind of like the "incest is best" joke - or one that's slightly more local here " why go across the street when you can go across the hall."
