⌈ FS Secret Santa Response Post ⌋

All gifts should be sent out by now! Aside from those slightly delayed, but they're all on the way, don't worry. Anyway, this is a post for - whatever you want! Thank your Santa, show off your gift, spread general SmissChristmas cheer, etc.

Those who helped pinch-hit, we have a surprise for you, too. Check your email in about half an hour, maybe!

I had never heard of murder rooms before I read your wishlist, but it was so very obvious how much you liked it and it sounded delightful so you actually got me to binge on this gem of a series and then flail about for a few days before I could actually calm down enough to sit down. I hope this is another present to you, because you have converted me and I am not looking back :).

I cannot believe I actually managed to convert somebody???? I mean yeah there was this one anon who wanted to read the Murder Rooms book series (btw, if you are one for this sort of literature, you should totally check them out! They're very, very good), but I never heard back from them. And allow me to say that YES, YES, it's a wonderful present to me that somebody shares my love for this series <33333 can I shower you with love?? I specialize in everything that concerns the Sherlock Holmes backstory, from the real Dr. Joe Bell to all his fictional counterparts (of which there are... not many. Three, if we count the books as a separate universe), and it always saddens me that I'm the only one to appreciate all that delightfulness.

If you don't mind revealing your DW nickname, I'd like to know that, too! Though it's fine if you are uncomfortable with that. You could always PM me.

Please always remember that you are awesome and that you made me very, very happy. Merry Christmas.

:) I am really glad you did get me to watch it! I actually used your tumblr blog a lot while looking up the inspiration for the piece and just loved all the impossibly cute gifs (like the one up there actually. My Mr. Doyle, aren't we dapper looking! A bit more eggnog?).
May I also add here, that your prompt suggestions led me on quite a merry chase? While watching I was frequently on the lookout for Doyle making eyes at Inspector Warner (rather I thought, it might have been the other way around).
I thought about looking for the books, especially after I realised that the five episodes were all that we would ever get of the series and the white knight stratagem ending on such a somber note, but I wasn't sure if they would integrate well into what I had already seen. But on your word I'll look them up and see if I can find them here.
I am also quite impressed at your extensive interest in Bell the man (read the post in GC tonight) and hope you will find the biography you are looking for.

Sadly I am not on DW and my lj is quite empty these days, but I always welcome tumblr messages these days (the name in my first post).

Thank you so much and please know that it was my greatest pleasure!
Merry Christmas to you too!
