Found Families recs!

I have an obsession with this topic that has not abated, so here's my question; what are your favourite books/movies/shows with found/chosen families?

I love love love Leverage for that reason, and I also really liked SG1 and SGA (although that was more in concept than in execution at times...the fic carries it out though!). Mag 7 also has it, to some extent at least, as does the ATeam.

For books, I love the relationship between Jack and Draycos in the YA 'Dragonback' series. (He's a young orphan with a dubiously legal lifestyle! He's an alien warrior-poet who spends half his time as a 2D sentient tattoo when he's not mentoring the orphan! They fight crime!)

Get Backers. Ginji sort of had a "found family" in Mugenjou, even if it was a messed up kind of place, and then left there because it was destroying him, and tried to start a new life with Ban... and although some of the old family initially felt betrayed over his leaving, they AND some of Ban's own estranged found family eventually came back and by the end everyone was back in the fold, and it was just absolutely beautiful to watch it happen. (I do not have a Ban and Ginji icon on this account, wtf? Here, have a flashback of some sexy old men when they were teenagers instead.)

Slightly obvious answer, but Firefly. :) I love how much the characters become a family over the course of the show/movie.

Also I just rewatched Lilo and Stitch for the first time in forever, and bawled over the family message, and how they all become a family. It was really nice. (My sister and I both cried!)

I love Lilo and Stitch! Lilo is the most adorable little girl ever and Nani is awesome.

My first thought when I saw this thread was Leverage too! Gosh, I love their team dynamics, how Nate is Team Dad who has to look out for everyone, and Sophie is Team Mom, keeping everybody together, and Eliot is pretty much the Dependable Big Brother while Parker is the baby of the family and how bro-sy Eliot and Hardison are ... they're my favourite example of the found family trope

Community. Definitely. I've been marathoning it for the holiday, so that pops into my head first.

One Piece. It's an extremely long and ungainly series, still ongoing, but worthwhile, I think, for the tight family dynamics of the main group (and all the relationships featured, really, the series has an overarching emphasis on the importance of "nakama") which hold strong over the course of many years and chapters. Part of the reason I came to love Leverage so much was because Hardison and Eliot's bickering and camaraderie reminded me a lot of Sanji and Zoro (the "older brothers" of One Piece's main family).

The first season of Young Justice has an amazing found family in the Team, and the way they come to trust each other completely turns out to provide the most heartwarming plot twist you will ever see by the end of the season. Season 2 breaks up that beautiful team in every possible way and has a lot of my animosity for it, though it redeems itself here and there. ("Symbiosi", anyone?)

Wild Target - if I had to pick one found family to be part of. They just look like they have so much fun together.
