Re: Gone Home ( major spoilers)

I personally loved the game. I was actually looking for it for a while, so I got it near the beginning of the praise.

The story personally resonated a lot for me as the sister of someone who's a lesbian. I care about my sister more than anything, really, so it REALLY tugged at my heartstrings. I agree that Sam and Lonnie weren't objectively the smartest, but honestly they're teenagers, it's what they do.

The game really was wonderful for me because of how the game was designed; that it's a fairly open house and it's meant to be just a game based on exploration. You put the story together out of curiosity, not because of some arbitrary point system. The art and the design was done very well to guide you through without really holding your hand.

The only real problem for me was the price. I paid the full price for it, and while I don't regret it it was still a bit more than what I'd like. But I also get that they're an independent studio without much in the way of an ad budget and they have to figure these things out.
