Hello!

Yeah that can be easy, I assume everyone on the internet is American until proven otherwise, so I am no better.

They are also closed on Sundays*, up until a couple of years ago Church and State was not separated. We also have 37.5hours work weeks for a fulltime job, anything over that is overtime. Overtime is also quite heavily regulated. Especially on any "red" day. So even the stores that could be open, don't because it would be hella expensive to pay them. Anyone working on Sundays get double hourly pay and Sunday nights is triple the rule also applies to all red days.

I doubt my candy will be on sale as it isn't Christmas themed, but I will be able to buy it so that is good enough for me!


*I think 4 Sundays a year is allowed.

Oooh that's very interesting.

Where I'm from there are a few businesses that aren't open on Sunday , like Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby. But it's not a widespread thing anymore.
