Yes, of course, post it! I have no idea how you'd gift it to me on AO3 -- I've been out of the fandom world so long I'd never even heard of the place until a few months ago. :P

You certainly hit the nail on the head with this one. It reads so much like Doyle's stories. I especially love the mystery, even though it's sad. You showed whole bunch of Holmes' sides beautifully, and Watson's reactions couldn't have been more on point. Ach, I just want to keep gushing about it!

I see. If you ever find yourself wanting an AO3 account, feel free to ask me for an invite (although I've heard that the waiting time is now a matter of days, so invites may be of no importance). It's a nice place, I like the layout and the functionality. The systems of tags/kudos/bookmarks are all very handy. The commenting gents seem to be generally more adequate and coherent than the usual ffn contingent, though AO3 works normally get less traffic.

o.O... Invites? You need an invite to join the community? Whoa, that sounds pretty... exclusive.

So long as we don't need a pin, I think we're good. ^^

I always thought of it as a way to manage registration so servers don't get flooded in case of sudden exoduses. The wait time for an account was a few hours in October. It never felt like a closed comm to me. *shrug*

How would a sudden exodus negatively impact the servers? Wouldn't it free up a bunch of space?

Exodus from other sites, like that time last year when ff.net went on a deletion spree. The wait time for AO3 accounts became weeks. Sorry I wasn' clear.
