Secret 6 - Bioshock Infinite (warning for SPOILERS)

spoilers for Bioshock Infinite

[Picture is the Lutece twins? Robert and Lusalind, from the videogame "Bioshock Infinite".]

They were the only part of the game I liked.

I hated how different it was in tone, controls, locations, and characters. I hated Booker (and that he talked) and Elizabeth (running around in practically her underwear) (and the twist that came out of nowhere that was clearly added late in development). And I really hated howin Burial at Sea they don't even acknowledge Bioshock 2, which I enjoyed way more than Infinite (they could've thrown in a reference to the Lambs or Sinclair, but no!). I wish I could like Infinite, but it just wasn't as good as the previous two in my opinion.

yeah infinite was a let down. I loved Elizabeth and the Lutece twins, apparently the tweest was something added when the story was rewritten in 6 months. Stupid and imo took too much from Bioshock 1 and 2. BS2 was superior in regards to the father/daughter story

While I liked the setting, I feel like Irrational did absolutely zero with it, throwing the interesting social commentary bit under the bus for a bog-standard story about alternate universes. Boring. Ken Levine needs to get out of the games business and start writing shitty TV shows for teenagers.

Her underwear, really? Yeaaaaa, there's plenty of games where women wear next to nothing but this isn't one of them.

Though I agree that the twins were a highlight, and I can totally understand being put off by the ending (though in retrospect, I think it was predictable; the series makes a theme of...well, you know). It isn't a perfect game but imo game-play wise it is superior. Rapture was overall a much more compelling setting though, and the writers did more with it in regards to the storyline. So yea, I agree that it isn't as good as the original, but I still think it was a great game. (And I ADORED Elizabeth. Seriously, so much love for her. Not only was she sweet and incredibly likable, but she was a damn helpful AI, which is so refreshing. Every protagonist needs a partner like Elizabeth.)

Pretty much my opinion. I love the game, but I agree that it has a lot of flaws. And Elizabeth isn't in her underwear, seriously.

Wearing her top like that is like putting your bra on over your shirt.

her corset is her underwear, though. then they killed off daisy and doused elizabeth in blood so the narrative had an excuse for her to wear it like that.

Yes she has cleavage later on in the game, and if you want to be technical then sure she's even wearing underwear, but she's still pretty damn covered up. Moreso than many female characters. Her final outfit does not look skimpy at all to me, but I guess that's just personal taste. *shrugs*

Kinda OT, but I love your icon!

Came here to say this about her clothes. Like, really? Of all the games...

(Anonymous) 2013-12-28 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. Loved BioShock and BioShock 2, played them all the way through multiple times. Just can't get into Infinite.
