Art success!!

Today I redrew an old pic of mine , and instead of deliberately trying to draw in an anime-esque style I just drew in a style I liked with a few moderation. I didn't try to imitate any set style (other than using tips I got for eyes and noses). It came out much better, and I felt much better about it.

I think I'm going to stick with this style I'm drawing in...I love it and I feel good about my art.

(will link what I drew to this once I finish it)

I hope I didn't bother anyone...I was just really excited about this.

Anybody else have anything good happen to them today?

I'm planning on posting it to dA when I'm finished with the lineart. Probably in an hour. :)

It's based on an original comic idea I've been working on for the longest time. I think I have a style that I want to stick with here. Now I want to do another art remake-this time of a pic showing the female characters of the story.

Good for you!

My good thing today was that when I took my car into the shop and they said it was going to take twice as long as they'd originally told me and the insurance company, my insurance company arranged for me to get a rental car and put it on the claim for the guy who hit me :)

Neat!

Those kinds of things sound mundane on the outside but wow do they make a world of difference when they go right. Not having to worry about money/health/transportation/food/etc. is pretty awesome.
