That's probably it for some people but a lot of people seem to genuinely like them.

A lot of people miss having a supportive family. They miss "the good ol' days." This show gives them hope there are still old fashioned values alive in the country. I've not seen the show myself and have no desire to, but that is what I've been hearing.
