Is it really that big a deal though? He's an actor, not someone they know. It's just a matter of someone going from "I think this celebrity is neat" to "I have a problem with something this celebrity said". It doesn't affect him, it doesn't really affect anyone but the person whose opinion changed.

It's not a very big deal, not as big as Freeman's opponents make it out to be, but people are very hateful towards him. The sheer amount of hatred bothers me. In general, it bothers me a lot when rabid fans hate on the crew/the author and use every opportunity to make their personal preferences into a shitstorm.
