Yeah, it definitely feels like there's this idea that rape doesn't exist, outside of the rare stranger-forcing-tiny-completely-covered-woman-into-dark-alley-with-a-weapon kind of rape. And if it helps, one of the first things I was taught as an advocate was that if I thought I couldn't provide assistance to someone, to get someone else to do it because if I fucked up, it would be bad. I mean, I'm not saying you would've fucked up, but it's more important to take care of yourself first so you can help where you can. (Wow, I am just all kinds of inarticulate. I hope you understood what I was trying to say.)
