Yeah, I didn't like the "lol old ganmen faces" design for the age-up.

Although Simon's "Who the hell do you think--no, maybe I'm nobody" was still very Simon. He was always a real humble guy and the "who the hell do you think I am!?" spirit came out when he needed the strength to get the job done, but it wasn't the driving force of his persona (unlike Kamina).

aww, that's a good point.

maybe i'm not that fond of the ending because i feel SO DAMN SORRY for Simon over losing Nia after doing all that to attempt saving her. i mean, yeah, they got to have a week together and Nia was the happiest she had ever been and all, but... sdjesg8isegy after all that and they didn't really get to be together. ;_;

Yeah the ending wasn't all that I'd hoped for, either. I knew that it was Gainax and so it would be bittersweet, but I still want my "Simon destroys the anti-spirals right out of spacetime, thereby undoing the past and now everybody is alive WITH HAPPY END and everybody graffitis the mooooon."

I bet Dayakka/Kiyoh's daughter turned out to be HOT. And awesome.


I do sort of agree that it went against the theme of the show, but... well, I dunno. Simon certainly didn't want to end up causing the Spiral Nemesis, and he'd already realized he had no place in politics (let alone on a galactic scale).

It wasn't a BAD END. Just... bittersweet.

And with Black Kinsman/Dayakka genes, Anne probably ended up being like... uber -awesome, too.

Rossiu and Kinon were cute~

Though there might be something said for IGNORING your GL het OTP, they killed mine off at the end of 25 >_> Nah, they should have done a little bit on ALL the major characters.

At least Simon still had Boota. <3 boota.
