How so? It's not like I'll disown my child if they dont, I'll just be... disappointed. It's just that I named if I named him after someone great(in my opinion), then I'll expect him to be great as well? I honestly cant expect him to be an exact replica of either character, because that's impossible. But if my son Kamina drops out of middle school and becomes a hobo(Although, Simon..) with alcohol and gambling problems then I'll pretty much feel... pretty upset that I named him Kamina. I'll love him regardless, but hopefully you see what I mean now?

Yeah, but... a name's just a name. *insert Romeo & Juliet quote here IDK* It's just, I dunno, wouldn't you feel awkward if your parents had named you after someone great and expected you to be awesome as well when you were just like everyone else? It's going to add pressure to your future child.

I understand if you like the name, but it's like me naming my future daughter Belle and expecting her to be beautiful.

I love Nel, the character from Bleach, and I've since come to love the name and have mulled over using it to name a daughter, if I have one.

But, simply because I'll name her this doesn't mean that I'll expect her to wear a skullcap and a gown and run around with two strange men. As much as I love Nel, I wouldn't really want my daughter to be hugely like her (the language she uses, lol).

You're just putting too much into a name. It's just something to be called, really.
