I know some people who have chronic illnesses that want House as a doctor, just because they feel like he'd be able to figure out what's wrong/help cure them.

nayrt Well I guess that kinda-sorta applies if you don't have a diagnosis, or have a very vague one (many autoimmune conditions), but if you are living with a diagnosed chronic illness you know what's up. You have to deal with it daily, and maybe you want someone's advice on how to manage it better, but it's probably incurable. Which isn't good television, and thus rarely comes up in the patient of the week. THAT is why it's never lupus, tbh.
