I'd take him in a heartbeat. He knows what he's doing and i don't give a damn about his 'bedside manner' - if i were sick i'd want the blunt truth, not some round about bullshite.

When it comes to doctor characters I always think of my friend's mom, who's a nurse, saying that the only one she would trust would be Dr Cox from Scrubs, for that reason.

Yes! Me too. I don't need sympathetic murmurings from a doctor (or, actually, anyone else) - just information.

But a doctor who has both? Worth their weight in any currency, IMO.

Eh. Sympathy isn't really all that helpful. When i was in hospital a few years ago, i didn't want hand-patting and hugs, i just wanted information. DETAILED information. No 'sparing' of the patient.

If that's what someone needs, that's all good, but i'd rather hard truth and helpful details than anything else.
