I hadn't realised the fans had gotten so bad :C I had left fandom after the first series finished but did eventually watch Brotherhood. I'd say I enjoyed both series more or less equally, even if the 1st one is basically a "canon-source-isn't-finished AU". Canonwise, I enjoyed some manga adaptions in the first series more than Brotherhood, but I also enjoyed some of the managa adaptions in Brotherhood more than the first. They're pretty equal for me.

And that movie haha. I really enjoyed that, I even found a (japanese) script book of it. Even if it was quite out there.

I find it frustratingly sad that snobbish fans have soured the series for you. They're assholes :/

_{What's your fave scene OP? Mine's the Barry The Chopper episode in the first series, creeped me out way more than the chimera...I have no-one to talk FMA with ;-;}

Not OP but as far as creepifying things, the Nina Tucker story is the one that, in whatEVER version of canon I persuade people to try, inevitably makes people scream at me for doing this terrible emotionally wrenching thing to them (though then they usually keep going anyway.)

I think my favorite page in the manga is when Riza sticks a dog's balls in her girlfriend's face.

My favorite scene in the either anime is any time Hughes and Mustang act like they're married. . .
