What do you mean by "in this case"? I don't know the context of the tumblr post. I'm pretty sure it was talking in general about the use of the phrase, which is sometimes justified and sometimes used in exactly the way that post says it is. If you're talking about the discussion here then I agree that the tumblr post doesn't apply to what the OP here is talking about, but I'm not the one trying to fit the two together.
