Women were treated badly, but there's not the specific history of being compared to and talked about as though they were literally animals. There is with POCs. That's why it's different. It has nothing to do with us caring more about someone cause they're a POC not white - it's because the context makes it a different situation. That's why it's more offensive. That's what's going on.

If you think that, then you have a very poor grasp of history.

And yeah, you do care more about one than the other, based solely on her skin-color rather than her personal situation or the context of her life.

And that's pretty damn offensive in itself.
