Puberty is difficult for everyone.

Social conditioning can make it more so, yes. But the transition from childhood is always going to have it's challenges. Bodily changes, hormones, trying to figure out who you are and who you're going to be. Is it more difficult for women in general? Probably. Does it depend on the individual and their situation? Absolutely?

I agree, puberty is hard for everyone. And generalizations suck, comparing the male and female situation like that. Social pressures increase for BOTH genders, and at a confusing time when the body and mind is already changing.
