That said, I can't wait for Exodus!

Secret 8 - Soukyuu no Fafner or Fafner in the Azure (anime)

If they aren't an official couple in the sequel, I will feel cheated. It's the only logical conclusion to their relationship.

Omg same!
I'm usually not someone who is delusional about their slash ships becoming canon (cause it never happens), but with these two I'll be seriously butthurt if they get girlfriends by the end of Exodus. Like, I don't even expect them to get together, but... just the illusion that they could, you know? I don't think I could buy someone being as important for them as each other and... yeah. My one exception.

Kinda OT: I'm so excited for Exodus! I seriously love this show (and every character in it, which also doesn't happen often) and I never in a million years expected a sequel (the movie was already a great surprise), because no one seems to know this show. I'm stoaked. :D

There's no way they get girlfriends, ever. Maya has been in love with Kazuki for years, and she's so freaking awesome, wonderful, beautiful and perfect (I love her too much), but Kazuki never returned her feelings, all he cared about was Soushi. Just look at how suicidial he is when Soushi disappears. Without Soushi, his life isn't worth living.

I mean I agree... but I've seen shows pull things that make less sense, so I'm a bit nervous.

I agree about Maya. She's awesome and deserves all the happiness in the world. I hope she manages to move an from Kazuki and find someone who adores her or flies solo if that makes her happy.
Maybe one of the new characters (the brother of the siblings duo from the movie seemed to have a crush on her... he's not a fully developed character yet, but maybe if they work on him.)
Just please don't kill her. ._.

Fafner secret! I love that series.
Anyway, I pretty much consider them canon already. But I'd love it if they were 100% canon.
