The problem is that you would need to have a revitalization of Galaxy Quest fandom. I'm not exactly sure how you would do that without it having its own reboot or something and I'm sure not many people want that.

This is the first I am hearing of this, and I'm excited! They could absolutely skewer the Star Trek reboot. It would be pure, solid, gold. (Three words: LENS FLARE JOKES. AAAAAAAAAALLLLL the lens flare jokes.)

Considering GQ was meant to skewer Trek (in a loving way) in the first place, I definitely think they would be remiss if they didn't skewer the reboot in a snarky way. Because. You know. The reboot sucks. XD

What would be fun would be some parody mini-episodes representing the new version of the show we see at the end of the movie, or an in-universe fake trailer for a GQ movie.
