Clara's mum is dead and it seems like she has a rocky relationship with her dad. She had dinner with her Dad, Gran and someone who seemed to be her dads girlfriend but was never explicitly stated as such.

Yeah, I got the impression that this Linda woman was Clara's step-mom - she seems to be of an age with her dad, rather than Clara (ruling out sister, even aside from the fact Clara's always been presented as an only child), and since the only other attendees were dad and gramma, 'dad's SO' is the most logical interpretation of Linda's relationship, IMO.

Yeah she could have been clara's aunt but then I think she would have been called 'Aunt Linda'.
