Pokemon Wondertrade question

I've gotten some great trades, though my fair share of shitty Pokemon, too. I've gotten several "renamed" Pokemon - I just got a Fletchling named Ditto, for example. I don't get it? It's not like I see the name before I get the Pokemon or anything, so it's not like I get super excited then disappointed or something. Seems like people are trying to be assholes but... failing?

They probably weren't trying to be assholes. They probably thought it was funny. Maybe they wanted to make you laugh.

I sent out a bunch of Kecleon named Comacomacoma for a similar reason.

Whenever I send out a named Pokemon, it's usually because I was pressing A too fast and accidentally chose to nickname them, so I just name them something off the top of my head, or something funny. I once got a HA Eevee with the name I'mA90sKid

eh, people like to name their wondertrade pokemon weird shit for laughs. I used to spend time naming my wondertrade pokemon dirty things while getting around the censors (they would take "Donkey Punch" but not "Doggy Style") until I remembered that it wasn't only asshole teenage/college aged people playing pokemon and that there were probably a bunch of ten year olds getting my wonder trades whereupon I felt really guilty and stopped

I just like to give the pokemon I send out weird names because it amuses me (like a while back I sent out a bunch of random pokemon all named DavidBowie). I'm always actually a little disappointed when I get a pokemon in wondertrade without a nickname because I like seeing what silly names people use.

I'm the opposite, I really hate nicknames. >_> That aren't my own, I mean. I get disappointed if I receive a Pokemon with a nickname, especially an immature one (like sexual references or general stupidity). To each their own!
