Lol at show watchers responding to a secret about the show? What a surprise.

Either way, the show really bastardized their relationship in order to make Tyrion look better and reduced all of Sansa's emotional issues, shifting most of it onto him (even the response to the RW was more about Tyrion than Sansa). Tyrion is actually pretty gross (though much more interesting than his bland, infallible show persona) in the books and on their wedding night.

I thought it was for more Sansa's benefit to make her more likable.

a lot of the characters in the books are ten times more horrible and gross than in the tv show. I don't give a shit about the books, at least the show has likable characters

But the book characters are far more interesting and complex than the watered down drivel "good guys" and "bad guys" the show gives us. Also, Cat, Robb, Stannis, Sansa, Cersei, Tyrion, LF, Dany, etc. are all terribly handled on the show. I think the only characters that have been translated well on the show is Jaime and Davos. The show also throws in sexual violence for the purpose of titillation all the time which makes it far grosser to me.

One of the major selling points for ASOIAF is the fact that almost all of the characters are shades of grey with likable and unlikable traits. You know, like humans are.
