Can anyone tell me the plot of Tsubasa RC went in the second half in simple terms, because I read the series hoping for something great and it just seemed to become more convoluted and I was lost by the time they found out Sakura was a clone as well and the original was gone (?)

late reply and I'm not entirely sure what time period you mean by 'second-half' so I'll just go from Sakura's a clone. Oh, and spoilers galore.

The boys went to Clow country, but Original Syaoran's Clow, where people are in a time loop and melt if you touch them. As it turns out, Original Syaoran first went there when he was young and met Original Sakura, who was a princess and a priestess of some kind.

In a ritual, she got cursed by Fei Wong Reed so that she will die when she is sixteen (basically she has these black wings on her chest and when the black wings cover her she dies) and the reason she is cursed is because original Syaoran didn't grab her in time. She grows up, gets stabbed by the wings, but her mother stops time. Original Syaoran makes a wish to reset time so that he can save Sakura, and Fei Wong grants this wish.

Doing this means that time is broken, and Original Syaoran's Clow gets frozen in time the Clones' Clow fractures off from it. To replace the originals, Fei Wong creates the clones and Watanuki (who replaces Original Syaoran in the world he was born in). Then Original Syaoran and Clone Syaoran fight, Clone Syaoran dies protecting Original Syaoran from Fei Wong, and his body disappears. The group fights Fei Wong, then all of a sudden Original Syaoran's parents turn up (they're the ones from the tube at the beginning). As it turns out, they're the clones, but reincarnated. Yes, Syaoran's parents are the clones. And then Original Syaoran manages to save Original Sakura, who suddenly grows from being seven and basically dead to whatever age they are at this point in the series and perfectly alive.

The group fight FWR, they kill him (think it was Kurogane, I can't remember exactly) and the clones die because apparently the clones can't live without their original creator, so they're erased from existence. Because their parents no longer existed, Watanuki and Original Syaoran have to pay a price so that they can keep existing (Watanuki being never able to leave Yuuko's shop, Syaoran never being able to stay in one place). The group goes traveling again, leaving Original Sakura behind for some reason, and the Originals are both actually named Tsubasa.

Oh, and FWR did this all to bring back Yuuko who was frozen in time, and then had a meltdown because she sacrificed her life to reincarnate the clones.

I hope that was what you wanted, OP. To be honest, explaining (or trying to explain) this series requires diagrams and alcohol, and even then it probably won't make sense

Thanks, man! I'm still not 100% sure about everything(why were their names Tsubasa??) I have a somewhat better idea. This series really does need diagrams.
