The first thing I did after seeing Galaxy Quest AGES after it came out, was to rush to the internet because I was CERTAIN that I would be able to find awesome fics (and a great variety of types of awesome fic) slashing Alan Rickman's character with his alien fan / mentee. Oh there was SO MUCH potential. SO FUCKING MUCH. Where was the alien biology! porn? The angst about losing his alien lover? The long!fic about getting him back to life? The hurt!comfort fic? The romantic fic where they're both so in love but there's URST because the one can't bear to reveal he's an actor and the other is totally a virginal lil thing? SO MUCH POTENTIAL, PEOPLE!!!!

And I didn't find a single solitary fucking thing.

Not even a drabble.

This makes me so sad I can't even.

So I am not only SECONDING your secret and sending you all my commiseration and love, but also trying to HIJACK it into requests for any and all recs people might have to make me happy.
