It's probably not one or the other. Maybe sometimes you say something you shouldn't (we all do), maybe sometimes you pick up trolls for no reason (that happens a lot too). You'll just have to take it on a case by case basis. Or just ignore them all if you want. Personally I take most responses I get into consideration but you're not obligated to.
