I just ate marzipan with a thin layer of chocolate coating today and it was AMAZING. I love Christmas as I get marzipan for gifts.

I am very very tired. I want to nap, but am forcing myself to pull through so my sleep schedule doesn't get more messed up.

That was exactly what I had (from a big assorted chox box, so I didn't know what it was) and I was VERY DISPLEASED. It is slightly more interesting with chocolate than it is by itself- those marzipan fruits and piggies come out at the holidays and I pass the plate to someone else- but I would still rather be eating caramels or nougat or toffee or chocolate creme or most anything else.

That is so disheartening. I have to admit that the kind you buy in the store has nothing on fresh marzipan. I had it from a chocolatiers once and it was so fresh and so good.

Caramels, nougat, toffee, are all good choices as well.
