We were a Peace Church and I am still a pacifist? If that makes you feel any better? Though they are kind of the opposite now. I think your conservatives would flee screaming in the night from me and call me "too liberal" LOL. I've gotten that before!

I would suggest that looking up at scripture and text would be the most ideal for you. Find information from multiple sources, see if what you like/dislike goes explicitly against faith or by assumption or correlation

Yeah. I am way way way behind the curve on that. Time management (of the poor kind) being the reason. Maybe like I said to forgottenjester I need to balance out my time a little more. Or a LOT more. Thanks, that does help!

Huh, I guess context really is everything. The conservatives here would LOVE to make Malaysia an Islamic state and they would often tout "you are Malay! Therefore, you MUST be MUSLIM. Also, you must think this way," As a mixed-Malay with non-Muslim friends (and learning that there are Christian Malays since the 1500's), I would like nothing more than kick their philosophy to the curb.
