but seriously, I do it too. (assume that people I meet in fandom are female unless proved otherwise, I mean.) not ashamed to admit it. since in most of my experience it's proved true anyway. =/ go figure. I think it depends on the fandom and the circles you move in, too, but I'm not a fandom expert or anything.

16. .. how can you hate Dumbles? ): no really. I am kind of curious as to why. (and don't worry, I'm not saying you have to like him; that would be silly.)

I hated Dumbles until the seventh book, because I was kind of like "WTF HE IS SUCH AN ASSHOLE WHY DOES NOBODY SEE IT" and then his jerkishness was acknowledged in the seventh book, so I felt better knowing it was on purpose and not a result of bad writing.

AHAHAHAHA wow. you might be the only person I've ever spoken to who just out and out called him an ass. A+++. I still love the man, so to each his own, but I do like how his moments of assholery are justified in the seventh book as something other than random.

And you're one of the few people I've met who recognized he was an ass and liked him anyway! (Most I knew just denied it before the seventh book.) A+++ to you as well! But yeah, after it was pretty much declared in the seventh book I liked him much better.
