2. I never cared for Snape. I still don't really care for him. However, I did sort of feel a twinge of sympathy for him when his motivations were revealed. (I still think he's an utter inexcusable jackass, though.)

Also, I'm really glad that you think their love is unrequited! There are some people I've seen who believe that because of a) shared Patroni and b)them being best friends they are True Soulmates, and she never loved her husband (the man probably forced her to marry him!). I flail a lot at this because I am a hardcore James/Lily fan and believe they did truly love each other. Lily loved Snape as a friend only and ;alksdjf yeah, I needed to rant.

How so? JKR said Lily loved him as a friend as well. Their ship regardless, it's true. *shrug*

James/Lily 4 Lyf. Or however the "cool kids" are saying it now.

I've maybe got the teeniest tiny pinkie toe in the HP fandom mainly because it disturbs and terrifies me; I don't read fic or anything like that--but I ship those two together somewhat fierce.

Actually, his little reckless charge in Voldy's flashback made me love James all the more D:

Well yeah, but it sort of... it was the futility of it that made me appreciate it. He was unarmed, he knew that even if he'd been armed he'd have likely lost, it was just a desperate act of trying to give the wife and son he adored some precious few seconds to escape. It was incredibly reckless and futile because he wasn't thinking; he was just moving on instinct. And somehow it made it all the more moving to me.

And yay James/Lily. I really can't stand the Snape fangirls/fanbois who are all like "OMG SHE LOVED HIM JAMES STOLE HIM FROM HERRRR."
