A friend linked me here for number 23 and normally I don't comment, but there's other stuff I want to comment on. Enjoy! ^_^

1. Same reason Sues don't bother me. There's enough canon ones out there that it seems kind of hypocritical to complain about ones in fandom. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to have a well-written Mary Sue.

2. It made me cry, too.

23. *Shrugs* It's over and done with. We can't please everyone, but I am curious why someone thinks it's doing so badly.

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to have a well-written Mary Sue.

No, it's possible to have a well written original character. The TERM Mary Sue means it's badly written. It means something specific (and negative), too many people just apply it to any OC (particularly any female OC)

Ah, my bad, then. I've always applied Mary Sue to be the perfect characters who can do anything, et al. Not necessarily badly written in my opinion. And I know it doesn't necessarily many any and all OCs.

Yeah, even tho it'd be hard, I'm sure it's possible to have a "perfect" OC that was not a Mary Sue (Let's face it, a good chunk of main character are, they just get by because they're canon...)

It's just a personal tick cause some crazy who use to be on my flist use to abuse the term the same way, except for the purpose of excusing her horrid Mary Sues.

Main characters being Sues are the main reason I can't complain about them. Look at most of the Final Fantasy characters!

Nah, it's okay. I'm the same way with terms getting misused. And let me guess, she wouldn't listen even when you tried the approach of it being bad writing?

She wouldn't listen no matter what, she was just kinda batshit. She tried to convince me MY OWN character that I admitted were Mary Sues weren't (And I just found my old website and HOLY shit they were. Sweet jesus.)
