You know, I find it kind of funny how many people are saying it's a "cheap rip-off." For one, the idea behind it was founded well before any of the bullshittery. And for another, the concept? Completely different, in every single way, shape, and form.

Not to mention that it started before the other crap, anyway; the people who left there did so for their own reasons. Not because of a new RP, but because they, quite honestly, no longer wanted to be there. For reasons that were pretty well-stated, even if they were completely ignored.

It doesn't matter when it was created. I just remember looking at it and thinking it sounded too familiar. If "many people" are saying it's a cheap rip-off then there's probably a reason.

"How many people," not how "many people." Very important difference in phrasing. "How many people" could be my meaning as few as five people saying that it's a "cheap rip-off," which, quite honestly, would be five too many for my taste. Regardless, the point is, exactly what is ripped off? If you're going to say the idea of multiple versions of the same character, don't make me laugh. Do you realize how many RPs have allowed multiple versions of a character, from way before Econtra was ever dreamed up? Between the zomg!crack RPs that allow an IC and OOC version of each character, to the RPs that have, for ages, allowed both a male and female version of a character, to RPs that allowed multiple versions of a character, taken from varying points of the timeline of whatever the character is from (sometimes having up to five or more versions of a single character). Heck, I've seen RPs dedicated solely to many different versions of the exact same character (for instance, there's a Tales of the Abyss RP that focuses solely on multiple versions of Guy Cecil), and those have been around for ages.

Having two versions of a character doesn't make it 'ripped off' from her RP, any more than Econtra having two versions of a character made it ripped off from every single RP before it that allowed for that sort of a thing.

But, whatever. You know, people will see whatever they want to see, and won't see otherwise unless they choose to. So, if you want to see it as a 'rip-off,' really, there isn't anything that I, personally, can do to change that; I don't force people to do things, it's simply not my way. The world will go on its way, you can continue enjoying to watch them, and I can continue to enjoy my RPing at Template, and, really, there's no problem with that. The only problem I have, with any of this, is you claiming that we're something we're not and never have been.

Okay I read it wrong my bad.

Actually that wasn't at all why I thought it was a rip off. That tells me something that it's what you automatically think though. It makes me curious and gives me an excuse to do an experiment.

I think you contradicted yourself but I get what you're saying.

Hmm? The only reason I automatically assumed that because it's the only similarity I've seen at any point between the two. Well, there's a different reason that has to do with another RP that got caught up in a shitstorm because of something similar, with the same accusations, but that's another bag of chips.

Anywhoo~ don't really see where I contradicted myself in anything I said here, or at any point on anything regarding this. But oh well. Nice to have met you. ^^
