idk, i'm kinda with you on this.

actually, for me, it's more the fact that so many people insist on how clever and groundbreaking and absolutely brilliant it was. bullshit. it had a creative, new-ish twist to it, which was why i enjoyed it. it mocked cliches without spinning into utter ridiculousness, and used them as part of an okay plot. it's a good movie, but it's... not a brilliant movie. (YMMV.)

(i also understand that using the same old tired cliches was part of the point, as already said above, but that didn't make them any more engaging for me in the long run.)
