I feel like the "quirky, extroverted girl on the verge of growing up and wanting more than they had during their sheltered childhood" is kind of a standard of Disney. There's a good handful of leads with that. It makes for a reasonably engaging character.

I can't say I saw a lot of similarities to Tangled, but perhaps that's because the key of Frozen is that it stemmed from a relationship of self-sacrificing love (Elsa's, in the beginning), and Tangled starts and centers around a relationship of manipulation.

as i said, i'm not the op, just pointing out possible similarities that someone could have seen. i think the movies are perfectly different (as much as they can be, given that they're disney movies centered around princesses). the protagonists' drives aren't the same, the conflict isn't the same, etc, etc.
