Re: How old are you f!s and some other stuff?

I'm in my mid-30s. In some of the fandoms I participate in, that's considered ancient; in others, I'm practically a kid. (And the most wanktastic fans in one of those fandoms are in their 50s or 60s; the canon is older than I am.) I have a fair amount of friends with fandom overlap in multiple areas who are about my age either way, so I don't think much about it.

Bonus: I cosplay, and no one believes me when I tell them my age. Other cosplayers assume "about my age", whatever their age is. People checking ID for adult panels at cons do double-takes and look extra carefully like they think it's a fake. Last year I got carded for a 16+ panel - when I was cosplaying Kotetsu from Tiger & Bunny, who actually IS about my age. But the last con I was at, I cosplayed a little kid, and I'm going to be cosplaying a teenage girl next month.

I'm sure that according to many in fandom, I am a horrible inappropriate person. *insert "haters gonna hate" swaggering gif*
